The Contracts Team can provide services ranging from one day’s training for a Contracts Manager up to a fully outsourced contracts management service. We will look at your current way of creating and managing contracts in the context of your business, and then suggest how we can help.
Some examples of what we do:
Document assembly technology
- We use document assembly technology to make it easy for non-lawyers to create a tailor-made contract by simply completing a ‘question and answer’ session (which gathers details about the project modelled on your specific business).
- This technology is already used by many law firms, but we make it available directly to our clients. This allows you to create sophisticated documents without the ongoing costly legal expense. This is at the heart of our contract[Δ]delta system.
Training non-lawyers
- We train non-lawyers to handle contract negotiations confidently and prudently, even if they are negotiating with a lawyer. One might think the obvious benefit is reducing the need to employ lawyers, but it’s also an approach which gives your staff control of the negotiations (they know your business) and the relationship with your customer (no law firm intervening between you).
Management systems
- We create management systems for your contracts to help you derive business information and optimum economic benefits.
Fully outsourced service
- For organisations without in-house contract teams, we can provide a fully outsourced service integrated with your business. This allows organisations to deploy contract expertise without the cost of building and maintaining an in-house team or using a traditional law firm. We call this our contract[Σ]Sigma system.
- For organisations with an existing contracts team which may be under-utilised, we will consider transferring their employment to The Contracts Team and providing back a fully outsourced service.
Large contract project scheduling
- We can help collate the information needed to compile schedules to large contract projects and aid you in formulating the schedules quickly so that they do not distract your project team or delay the contract.
And, if you need us to, we can also take on one-off legal projects in the manner of traditional law firms, but we will of course apply our style of fresh thinking based on our core philosophy.
